Sergei Timofeev was born in 1970 in Riga. He worked as a journalist in the Russian-speaking periodicals of Latvia, a DJ at Riga radio stations. He was published since the late 1980s in the magazines "Rodnik", "Mitin magazine", "Babylon", "Banner" and others. Author of five books of poems. It was a member of the short list of Andrei Bely award (2002) The leader of the group of Riga writers "Orbit", the curator of the site of the same name, the organizer of the festivals of poetic video clips and other actions at the junction of different types of art.
