This study is a continuation of the conversation started in the book "The First Blockade Match" (2018, "Nestor-Istoriya"). It was dedicated to a game that took place on May 31, 1942. In addition to attempting to answer the question of which match opened the so-called "blockade series," this book contained a statement of intentions - a desire to describe in detail and systematically the football events of 1942-1944 that occurred in the besieged city. Now this promise has been fulfilled. Before you is the result of several years of work searching for and analyzing materials collected in numerous archives, museums, and libraries. Meetings with relatives of footballers from the blockade period were very helpful. Some information was provided through correspondence with football historians. The book is of interest to a wide range of readers, and for specialists - thanks to rare documents and photographs, as well as the presentation of little-known events that have not yet been covered in domestic sports literature.
