A literary-patent review of the current state of automated design systems has been conducted. The functions, procedures, and structure of the block-modular CAD systems for galvanic lines have been defined. The selection of software tools for developing CAD blocks has been made. Software has been developed to calculate the technological and design parameters of galvanic equipment. The design and operational parameters of galvanic lines subject to optimization have been determined. The criterion for optimization chosen is the minimum of the costs associated with the coating application process. The task of optimizing the coating application process has been formulated.
