Susan R. Barry is an honorary professor at Mount Holyoke College and holds a doctorate in biological sciences. From an early age, suffering from severe strabismus, she saw the world in two dimensions, and even after surgical correction, the world did not become three-dimensional for her. However, she continued her efforts and at the age of 48, she corrected her two-dimensional vision of the world to three-dimensional, which was previously considered impossible in principle. In her book "Blind Physiology," the author tells two stories: about a boy who learned to see and a girl who learned to hear, as well as about how the acquisition of new senses affects people differently.
