The dark streak in the life of police chief Leo Kroytner seemed to be coming to an end. Not long ago, while making homemade schnapps, he almost burned down his house, and due to reckless driving, he lost his driver's license. And now, at a costume ball at the beer mill Mangfall, a woman responded to his advances, reciprocity with whom he didn't even dare to hope for. The evening promised to end with the desired intimacy, but where to take his beloved? The adventurous Kroytner quickly finds a solution. He takes the keys to a mansion from acquaintances of a local resident who is currently away. Persuading his boss's father, Wallner, to join in on the adventure, the trio sets off to the vacant house in the old man's car. Instead of female caresses, Kroytner finds an unpleasant surprise in the bedroom - the corpse of the mansion's owner. And an unstable girl with a gun in hand, appearing from the adjacent room, shoots the policeman in the head. It seemed like a common crime, and the killer was in the hands of justice, but the brilliant duo of two policemen, Wallner and Kroytner, will not allow the investigation to go in the wrong direction.
