The magical story “Black Chicken, or underground residents” has long entered the gold fund of domestic children"s literature and withstood dozens of reprints in different languages of the world. Anthony Pogorelsky wrote this fairy tale in 1829 for his ten -year -old nephew Alyosha. The boy grew up and became famous as the poet and playwright Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy.
