Before you, a book made up from lectures on the basics of Orthodoxy Archpriest Alexander Gersonimus, which he read on the Holy Faddean courses of catechochizers from 1998 to 2007. In the publication, the key issues of Orthodox fault are affected: who is God and where we get knowledge about him, how the world was created and from which the story of mankind is that to understand under the word "faith", how the spiritual life of a person is developing, what is sin, what are the dogmas Churches? It may seem that the answers to all these questions can be obtained in the first year of stay in the church, but it is not. Each of the questions is extremely deep and multifaceted and sometimes requires a complex and long-lasting spiritual work.
