The textbook being offered is part of the educational and methodological system 'Algorithm of Success'. It continues the biology course line for primary school 'Living Nature', in which all biology sections are connected by common biological categories, allowing for continuity when transitioning from one section to another and creating didactic conditions for developing students' systemic thinking. This section is dedicated to the study of plants, bacteria, fungi, lichens, and contains material for 35 hours of mandatory study time, as well as material that enables structuring the educational process considering the natural features of the region. The focus has shifted from detailed descriptions of individual biological objects to the leading system-forming ideas of the course: the uniqueness of living organisms, the complexity of organization during evolution, and adaptation to the environment. Key knowledge essential for developing general culture and necessary in everyday life is highlighted. The textbook's methodological apparatus encourages students' active participation in the learning process. The textbook provides the opportunity for in-depth study of biology in the 6th grade.
