"Zero, combat, pension ..." is the first decade of the 21st century. The end of the dashing 90s and the construction of the new Russia. The remnants of democracy and freedom, but already totalitarian rolling, censorship, numerous prohibitions and taboos. And in these conditions, the author of the book, a pensioner by status, continued to fight on all fronts of the media: books, newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, creative evenings and presentations of new books. And all this against the backdrop of poor health, ill health. The money earned on foreign trips: France, Austria, Italy, etc. Life was seething and bubbling. Familiar hisses: "Failed Moscow with his books." Successfully stubbornly followed envy and ill -wishes. In general, a tense, but interesting time that has various memories. This will be especially interesting to read the peers born in the pre -war years. I hope that young readers will not remain indifferent
