The book presents the fictional biography of the hero of the Civil War Nikolai Alexandrovich Shchors. A native of the village of Snovsk by the Great Grodnyansky district of the Chernihiv province, a brave and smart commander of the Red Army fought in battles with Germanic interventionists, against the Petlyur and Polish troops. He died in battle when he was 24 years old.
