General A. L. Nosovich in the spring of 1918 was introduced into the Red Army on the instructions of the Moscow anti -Bolshevik underground and the French military mission in Russia. In May 1918, he took the responsible post of chief of staff of the North Caucasus Military District in Tsaritsyn. Nosovich, according to his testimonies, conducted active subversive work in the Red Army, which was interrupted in August 1918 by arrest by decision of a member of the Military Council of the District I.V. Stalin. Subsequently, Nosovich managed to free himself and continue his underground activities as assistant commander of the Soviet Southern Front P.P. Sytin. Having exhausted opportunities for such work, he went over to the side of the Don Cossacks fighting with the Reds. The whites did not believe and arrested him. He was later released
