This book has incorporated two hundred articles from one and a half thousand written by Ehrenburg in four years of war. Reporting, leaflets, feuilletons, reviews were addressed mainly to the fighters of the front and rear and were subordinated to the only goal: to help the country defeat the enemy. Ehrenburg worked daily and wear. Its texts were printed in central newspapers, sounded on the radio, went out with brochures and books. The whole country knew and waited for them - from soldiers to marshals, from workers to peasants. In parallel, the writer’s messages were published in the anti -Hitler countries of America and Europe, where they were also popular.
