The book presents a fictional biography of a unique person - Valerian Vladimirovich Kuibyshev. He is one of the most irreplaceable people of the Republic of Soviets. He works at very responsible posts: the People"s Commissar of the RCT, the chairman of the Supreme Economic Council, the chairman of the State Planning Commission, the chairman of the KSK. And finally, he becomes a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Party and the closest associate of Stalin on the country"s economy.
January 25, 1935, Kuibyshev in the prime of strength suddenly dies. The death of Kuibyshev against the backdrop of political murders that was incessant in the country caused a not confirmed, but also not refuted by the assumption that he was eliminated (poisoned) by order of Stalin. As the only competitor to the supreme power from the closest environment of the leader.
