Maestro for the first time opens the doors of his creative laboratory, introducing the reader to his ideas and achievements. One of the most brilliant composers of our time, he tells us that for him the composition of music means the connection of musical compositions with images in the cinema and his non -profit creative experiments. Events from life are intertwined with the professional remarks of the maestro about music, and at the end of the book the memoirs of those who have been working with Morricone have been collected.
On January 27, 2022, a new documentary of the Oscar -winning Giuseppe Tornator, dedicated to Annio Morricone Ennio, was published in Italy. The book “In pursuit of sound” is the main source of the story of the film, thanks to the participation of Alessandro de Rose as a composer and official biographer of maestro. The film was included in the Long list of the Academy Academy of 2022 in the section “Academy prize for the best full-length documentary.”

Annio Morricone (1928) graduated from the Roman conservatory in the pipe class, instrumentation and composition. He experimented with various musical forms first as an arranger, and then as a composer for theater, radio, television and cinema. Wrote more than 450 soundtracks and more than 100 non -profit works. In 2007, he received an Oscar for his contribution to cinema, and in 2016 in the nomination “Best Soundtrack” for music for the film “Menating Eight” Quentin Tarantino.
Alessandro de Rosa (1985) began to study the musical composition on the advice of Ennio Morricone. He studied with Boris Porena, then graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Netherlands) As a composer and arranger, he collaborated with John Anderson (the YES "group), currently continues musical activities, works on Italian radio and television (RAI), on the Swiss RSI radio television channel, collaborates with Amazon Audible and A & R Pastelle Music
