Written in 1944, the artist Vsevolod Nikolayevich Petrov (1912–1978) is a love story about the war, or a military story about love, the power of two strange related feelings - the fear of disappearance and delight of charm - connects life (a sanitary train wandering between fronts) and poetry ( Perfect and doomed to death ”of the 18th century) in one, as in the poem of Zhukovsky, which gave this story an epigraph.
