"Diary ...", the author of which was the London doctor August Botszi Granville - one of the most interesting and most detailed notes of foreigners about Russia in the first half of the nineteenth century. The author visited St. Petersburg in 1827. He described in detail the court life, government institutions, the state of Russian science, culture, industry, trade, medicine, and urban life. "Diary ..." A. B. Granville is a valuable source for research on the history of Russia of the late 1820s.
