Alexey Ivanovich Ksyunin (1880 St. Petersburg-1938 Belgrade Yugoslavia) journalist, publicist, public figure, mason. In 1910, after the death of Tolstoy, he visited Yasnaya Polyana as a journalist, talked with his wife Sofia Andreevna, children and peasants. He visited Optina Desert and the Shamardinsky monastery. The result of his trips in 1911 was a book under the title "Tolstoy"s departure", which parted in a short time in a large number of copies.
