The book of Natalia Gromova “There was no death: Olga Bergholz” is the experience of reading the fate of the poet, who became a symbol of the besieged Leningrad.
Olga Bergholz (1910 - 1975) - poet, journalist, playwright, laureate of the Stalin Prize, “Blocade Madonna” , author of the February Diary, Leningrad Poem and the Autobiographical Book Daytime Stars. Bergholz was sincerely devoted to Soviet power, but could not help but see the terrible reality. The first wife of the poet Boris Kornilov, shot in 1938, she survived the prison, lost two daughters, kept hidden diaries all her life, honest and merciless to herself and others.
There was no death: Olga Bergholts - a story - a story About painful attempts to overcome its time, a terrible but very important book, in which a portrait of a person is inseparably connected with the portrait of time.
The book is based on diaries and documentary materials. The second edition is supplemented by new materials from notebooks and recently open diaries (post -war periods) of Olga Bergholz, with new photos. Some chapters of the book have been finalized and re -written
