The book is dedicated to an outstanding scientist and organizer of science, the former president of the USSR Academy of Sciences, a key participant in the atomic project, one of the founders and leaders (“main theorist”) of the domestic space program Mstislav Velivolodovich Keldysh. The book is based on the memoirs of his student and one of the closest associates of the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences M.Ya. Marova. The life path of Mstislav Vsevolodovich, his invaluable contribution to science and technology, strengthening the country"s defense, to the formation and development of the most important sections of modern science - mathematics, aircraft industry, nuclear industry, space research, computing equipment, is briefly described. The book contains unique materials and photos from unpublished sources and personal archive of the author.
