The monograph refers to the fate of about 5 million Soviet citizens - the so -called displaced persons, during the Great Patriotic War, who turned out to be outside the USSR, mainly prisoners of war and civilian, stolen for forced labor in Germany (eastern workers) This also included those who retreated with the Nazi invaders from the territory of the USSR by their accomplices. The book explores the processes of repatriation in the USSR from Germany and other countries of most Soviet displaced persons, as well as the formation of “second emigration” from their smaller part. Particular attention is paid to the debunking of myths rooted in historiography
