The book is dedicated to the life and creative heritage of Nikolai Vladimirovich Zen (1954-1983), a gifted psychologist and an amazing person. More than 20 authors participated in its writing, many of whom are well-known representatives of psychological science and psychologists-practitioners who stood in the 1970-1990s at the origins of Russian practical psychology.
Three main plots are deployed. The first is about the book "Psychotechnical Games in Sports" (1985), written by N.V. Zen in co -authorship Yu. V. Pakhomov. The full text of "psychotechnical games" is included in the collection with a separate section and complemented by reviews and comments. In them, the authors share the experience of meeting with this first one of their kind a book, which for them and the arsenal of the tools and methods in those years, and the source of inspiration in the search for their own paths. The second plot is devoted to the concept of the psychotechnical myth of Nikolai Zen, its meaning and creative development by modern psychologists-practitioners. The third plot is the memories of the friends of Nikolai Zen. Through the memorable episodes, the image of a person of a kind of giftedness, meetings and friendship with which was raised over everyday life and often turned out to be turning in fate and choosing the path
