The Great Life in Biographies included three books:

Many of his contemporaries, including the novelist Georges Sand, with whom he was friends throughout his life, acted in defense.
Georges Sand. She owns one of the honorable places among representatives of French romanticism. She was called a lawyer of all women, as she struggled with oppression and prejudices for the truth. Sand observed the dawn and decline of romanticism in literature. She recognized the dignity of realism as a direction, supporting her dear friend, Honore de Balzac.
