1943. The twenty years of the Netherlander Wim Alozerius escapes from a labor camp in Nazi Germany, hiding on the roof of a moving train. In an attempt to hide, he lives on a farm, where he sleeps in a wooden chest hidden underground for months. But this is not for long: under cover of night, Vim is captured and delivered to the Gestapo. There begins a holocaisnian nightmare. He has to survive three concentration camps - ammersfort, and then Khuzum and Neuengamma. But the worst test awaits him at the end of the war.
Together with other prisoners, VIM is on the notorious German liner "Cap of Arcon", which fell under the air exploration of the Royal Air Force. British fighters are drowning ships, on board of which there are 7,000 prisoners. A few manage to be saved, but Wim Alozerius survives in one of the greatest shipwrecks of all time. And after many years, in the 94 years, he finally decides to tell the writer Frank Krake his incredible story. Like her last witness
