The book presents the treatise “On the preservation and reproduction of the Russian people”, as well as the works on the history of Russia and the geography of the great Russian scientist, poet and enlightener of academician Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov (1711-1765), his labors and serving the Fatherland of the name of Russia and Russian science, made a huge contribution to world science.
Lomonosov proposed a whole range of measures to solve a demographic problem, including in the field of public health. His works on the history of Russia are relevant after several centuries. Mikhail Vasilievich identifies six significant stages that were reflected in the state, he was the first to decide to nominate the theory of the Slavic-Chudsk origin of Russia. His book Ancient Russian History became popular in many European countries, was translated into several languages.
Lomonosov attached great importance to the development of geographical knowledge, dealt with the study of the Northern Arctic Ocean and the development of the Great Northern Sea Route, prepared the project of the Russian polar expedition, and considered it necessary to study and master the Arctic.
