The works of outstanding mathematician, academician A. A. Markov (1856–1922) enriched the theory of probabilities, numbers theory and mathematical analysis. The book is written on the basis of the study of the works of the scientist and documents from the archive of the Markov family. The final head of the book is the author’s personal memoirs about the son of academician Markov-outstanding mathematics A. A. Markov Jr (1903–1979) Academician A. A. Markov is the founder of a new direction in the theory of probabilities - "Markov processes", and his son founded the "constructive mathematics of Markov". The life motto of the father and son of the Markovs can be expressed by the line of Boris Pasternak-one of the favorite poets of A. A. Markov-son: "The goal of creativity is dedication."
