Max Weber, sociologists have long and unconditionally classify the classics of their science. A large number of his biographies have been published. In this book, the main attention is paid not to the analysis of his theoretical heritage, but by his personality. Over the past century, Max Weber was seen as a preacher of rationalism in the theory and ethical ideal of heroic austerity, and his own life was considered almost the embodiment of this ideal. New studies have shown that Max Weber was a living, suffering, stinging person and his life was determined not only by reason, but also by passions. The author analyzes the life of the hero in all the wealth of its manifestations - from political views and aspirations to deep psychological mechanisms, which are often unexpected and not amenable to rational explanation of the solution and actions.
