Obaria Zakarii (1630 - 1691) - Armenian merchant, chronicle. He studied with a local priest Melkum, literacy - with his uncle Amir Sarkavag. In 1647, accompanied by a relative, a merchant nobody, with a pack of silk was sent to Turkey "to study a trade business. Having their own capital in 150 march (about 90 rubles in gold) in his comrade -in -arms with other merchants, he took up trading, visiting the markets of Iran and Turkey, gained experience in a trade business. In 1658 he visited large European markets: Venice, Amsterdam and Primorsky cities of Portugal, Spain and Italy. In subsequent trading trips to Iran and Turkey, he acquired significant capital, increased his real estate in his native village. He led money at interest to merchants, landowners and Echmiadzinsky Catholicos. He died in 1691 in sharks
