This book is a collection of documentary materials related to the death of S. A. Yesenin and storing the History of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dalya, Department of manuscripts of the Institute of World Literature. A. M. Gorky and the Literary Museum of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) The history of the acquisition and existence of such documents as “Case No. 89 on the suicide of the poet Sergei Alexandrovich Yesenin”, posthumous photographs of Yesenin taken by M. S. Nappelbaum, V.V. Presnyakov and N. A. Shcherbakov, and the atmosphere of the fifth room of the hotel “ Angletter ”made by V.V. Presnyakov. These documents served as a material for checking the suicide version. The conclusions obtained as a result of their scrupulous analysis allow us to come to the conclusion that they are more evidenced in favor of the murder version than the poet"s suicide. The collection also includes reviews of some books on the death of Yesenin, a bibliography of literature on the death of S. A. Yesenin for 1989–2021 and the poetry plan of the Angletter Hotel
