Paul Dumer was a unique person. He became the president of France at the age of 74. Not only contemporaries envied his crystal honesty and political wisdom. Dumer had eight children, and four of his sons died on the fronts of the First World War. His life was cut off by the killer’s bullet - a mentally unbalanced Russian emigrant.
