Shortly before his tragic death in July 1922, Simon Arshakovich Ter-Petrosyan, known under the party nickname "Kamo", ended the book of memoirs of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin, a countryman, a mentor and a comrade in a revolutionary struggle.
The circumstances were formed so that the manuscript of memoirs for the first time saw the light only in 2013, and before that it was stored in the family archive of a close friend of Kamo, who became its editor.
The value of these memories is that they relate to the young years of Stalin, the least illuminated period of his life, and that their author is not just a contemporary leader, but his friend and ally in revolutionary struggle, a fiery revolutionary, whom Vladimir is Vladimir Ilyich Lenin called a man "completely exceptional devotion, courage and energy."
