Each book has its own fate. But not every author is destroyed while working on the text at the personal instructions of the hero of his work. This happened with Lev Trotsky, one of the main organizers of the October Revolution of 1917, the creator of the Red Army and one of the leaders of our country in the first years of Soviet power. The inexorable and reliable, as an ice ax, the principle of “there is no man - no problem” did not allow Trotsky to add the book to the end ... but even what was published, caused a shock of Stalin"s supporters (the dictator of the USSR for a quarter century), and his ardent opponents. Hundreds of books are written about Stalin, but this one is the first, from which everyone else grew up. And, unlike other authors, Lev Davidovich knew Joseph Vissarionovich for many years and was a direct participant in the events described. This publication is addressed to all those who are not indifferent to the history of our Fatherland
