The reader holds in his hands a book dedicated to Mikhail Efimovichilobashev (1907-1971), a prominent figure in science and higher education of the USSR in the mid -20th century. There are fewer people who studied with Mikhail Efimovich or talked with him, and the task of the compiler and authors of the book was to preserve for subsequent generations, as far as possible, the appearance of a person, as M.E. Lobashev.
Two main author - E.V. Savvateeva-Popova and I.A. Zakharov-Geshekhus, looked at Mikhail Efimovich from different positions: the first from the childhood I saw Mikhail Efimovich in a family, home environment, the second, the author of these lines, for 7 years worked with Mikhail Efimovich as his graduate student and as an employee of the department led by him. Accordingly, in the essays we prepared, Mikhail Efimovich appears in one - primarily as a person, in the other - as the leader of the scientific and teaching staff and as an educator of youth. Our essays are supplemented by the brief memories of those colleagues who studied with Mikhail Efimovich, worked with him or communicated in an informal setting. These memories, it seems, complement the portrait of Mikhail Efimovich with important living features
