The album introduces the reader to the original types of chest clothing, which were part of the Russian folk costume. The research and illustrative base of the publication is the collection of Russian clothing of the Russian ethnographic museum (St. Petersburg).
RAM collections include objects of the XVIII-XX centuries, which exist mainly in the peasant environment in the Russian North, North-West, Central Russia, Southern and South-Western regions, Volga, and Siberia.
The structure of the album is based on the regional principle of the existence of various complexes of the Russian traditional costume: South Russian - with a mini, central and north Russian - with a sundress, one - - - -a.m. with a skirt. Within the framework of each section, the types of breast clothing are presented, differing in cut and decor. The special section "Details" first shows a variety of cuts of chest clothing, its details, decor and local style.
