More than 300 years ago, in February 1711, a government Senate was approved in Russia. According to its creator, Peter the Great, he became the highest state body of the Russian Empire. Based on the role and significance of the Senate, it included many outstanding state, military and public figures who left a noticeable mark in the Russian Empire.
