This book is a guide for "Memoirs" A. D. Sakharov (05/21/192-14.12.1989), and therefore the guide for the amazing fate of the great scientist and the great man - the creator of the most terrible weapon in the history of mankind and at the same time Laureate of the Nobel Prize of the World . The fate of Sakharov is, one might say, an exciting detective, a chain of incredible events, but not random, but dictated by the genius and power of the main character. The theme of the book "Sahars and Power" acquired new, amazing meanings after the "Sakharov" documents of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the KGB of the USSR were declassified. "I"m not on the top floor. I am next to the upper floor - on the other side of the window, ”Sakharov somehow joked, referring to the upper floor of power. And this joke accurately reflects the uniqueness of his status, which has become fate. According to the author’s plan, the main narrator is Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov himself, quotes from whose memoirs alternate with the memoirs of his contemporaries, reference and documentary material and explanations.
