The border guard, captain of the NKVD troops Pavel Zobov began to protect the state border of the Lithuanian SSR on June 22, 1940. The peaceful life of the outpost lasted exactly one year. Only twelve days the personal war of Captain Zobov lasted, but his personal hell lasted another four years.
