The memoirs of Anna (ASI) Latsis are actresses and director, creators of proletarian theater children"s troupes in Soviet Russia and Latvia in the 1920s. In 1922, she moved to Berlin, where she was friends with Bertolt Brecht and Erwin Piscator, helped to bring “Kinokov” to Berlin, introducing Dazhu Vertov to Krakauer, Brechta and Sergey Tretyakov brought down. In 1924, at Capri, Asya Latsis met Walter Benjamin, who later came to her in Moscow. This trip is described in his Moscow Diary. It is believed that Marxism Benjamin did not accept least thanks to it. In 1938, Lacis was arrested and spent the next 10 years in the camp.
The life of those who happened to leave memories is similar to the theater production: real experiences are subordinated to the head of the director, which the story itself appeared. This director was cruel (it was not without reason Arto created the theater of cruelty as a metaphor for human life), and not only romantic heroes, but also mediocre statists of the punitive system participated in the production.
