The book is devoted to the previously almost unknown phenomenon - the protest movement of workers in the first decades of the formation of Soviet power. It opens with an analysis of events, starting with the ultimatum of Vikzhel about the creation of a homogeneous socialist government and ends with the time of Stalinist industrialization and the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War. Based on a wide range of previously classified sources, an extensive panorama of mass working performances in Soviet Russia - the USSR is revealed, their causes, dynamics, forms, and the impact on the policy of the ruling regime are analyzed. In the new, corrected and expanded publication, some estimates of the trends that determined the working protest in 1917-1999 are clarified, the possible prospects for the future development of the protest movement in our country are shown, and the documentary application was expanded through the inclusion of archival documents, and the inclusion of archival documents, absent in the first three (stereotypical) publications of the book
