By the 150th anniversary of the birth of a wonderful Russian writer Vikenty Vikentievich Veresaev, his capital work “Pushkin in life” is published, the creation of which took exactly a quarter century. The deep and insightful researcher of the biography of the great poet, Veresaev built his book on documentary evidence of Pushkin’s contemporaries - on their memoirs, letters, notes, extracts from documents, etc., - chronologically and in detail tracing the poet’s life from birth to death. Veresaev’s work has not lost its significance to the present day, although this year 90 years have been celebrated from the end of his first publication.
