The author of the book A. Dobrynin is one of the oldest diplomats of the post -war period, occupying a unique place in the history of our diplomacy in general and Soviet -American relations especially. He made a significant contribution to the normalization of relations between the USSR and the USA and the strengthening of the international prestige of our state.
The book proposed to the reader is of indisputable interest in the first place because it allows, as it were, as if to look behind the curtains almost a quarter -century piece of diplomatic history in the most difficult periods of the relationship of the two powers.
