The monograph is dedicated to the life and scientific work of D.N. Medrisha (1926–2011), folklorist, historian and theorist of literature, one of the leading Russian researchers of the problems of literary folklorism. The book is based on a full -scale study of his scientific heritage, printed works and archival materials. In the applications to the monograph, unpublished and inaccessible works of D.N. Medrisha, his oral memoirs about the path to science, recorded by his daughter, verses of different years, memories of him. The announced bibliography of the works of the scientist completes the book.
