The history of the life and environment of the famous Russian socialist and liberal figure Peter Struve (1870–1944)-his political and ideological struggle before the outbreak of the civil war in Russia: the path of the leader of the Russian Marxism of the 1890s, the author of the first “manifesto” of the RSDLP (1898), one of the Fathers of the Social Liberal Cadet Party in the 1900s, the ideologist of classical ideological collections “Problems of idealism” (1902), “Milestones” (1909), “From the depths” (1918), editors of the famous, illegal publication “Liberation” (1902 –1905), classic fat magazine Russian Thought (1907–1918) and other press organs.
Biographies have suggested historiographic introduction, summarizing the results of the study and publication of the heritage of P. Struve. The appendix to the biography is given for the first time compiled by a new collected works by P. Struve - those political texts that for their own political reasons were not included in his last collection of articles “Patriotica” (1911), or were published after this book and therefore not reprinted They are neither in Russia nor in emigration
