This collection is dedicated to the literary work of David Schraier-Petrov-the poet, prose writer, memoirist, playwright, essayist and translator (as well as the doctor and explorer-experimenter) David Schraier-Petrov is one of the most significant representatives of that generation of Jewish-Russian literature, which began its journey in the posttalin years, developing both in official and underground conditions, then migrated to emigration, and now it was already scattered into different countries and continents . Jewish-Russian culture, connecting two historical eras and two dimensions-Soviet and emigrant-is a thing of the past. That is why the task of documentation and study of the extensive heritage of Jewish-Russian culture is of particular importance today.
In the year of the 85th anniversary of David Schrara-Petrov, after 35 years since the emigration of the writer from the USSR, under one cover, materials and research were first collected, from different historical and literary and theoretical positions, illuminating their work.
