The book is dedicated to the fate of a large family repatriated in the post -war years from France to their homeland. Here, the descendants of many Russian and Georgian aristocratic genera, brought up on ideological and moral values that are alien to the socialist society, were faced with complex, sometimes dramatic and even tragic vital and vicissitudes. However, they perceived the tests, repressions and deprivation that fell into a Christianly humbly and dignity.
Author, one of the five offspring of the family, tells both the history of their own growing up and becoming, and about the stage events in the life of the state, evaluating them from the standpoint of an Orthodox person and a convinced monarchist.
