Reprint from the publication. Leipzig, 1859. Mikhail Alexandrovich Fonvizin (von Vizin, 1788 –1854)-Major General, Decembrist, representative of utopian socialism. The nephew of Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin, brother of Ivan Alexandrovich Fonvizin. During the Patriotic War of 1812, he participated in the battles near Vitebsk, near Smolensk, in the Battle of Borodino. For the battle of Maloyaroslavets, he was awarded a golden sword for courage. He participated in the battle of red and in the battle on Berezin. He was the commander of the partisan detachment. In the foreign campaigns of 1813, he participated in the battles under Lutzen, under Bautzen, near Kulm, under Leipzig, at the bar-scurry. He was wounded in the latter, captured and sent to Brittany, where he participated in the conspiracy of the prisoners. He was in Brittany until the end of hostilities. Circulation 30 copies.
