Ekaterina Ivanovna Zhukovskaya (nee Ilyina, 1841–1913), translator, memoirist, author of articles on state economy issues, participant of the Znamensky commune, wife of the writer and economist Yu.G. Zhukovsky. She collaborated with the magazines Contemporary, Bulletin of Europe, Week, was familiar with N.A.Nensov, M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin, A.N. Pleshcheev and other bright figures of that time-she spoke about them in detail In their notes. The fate of the memoirist itself is no less interest-she was one of the first women of the 1860s, who dared to reject hard patriarchal restrictions and realize not only in motherhood and marriage.
