"Epilogue" is the story of a funny, ridiculous elderly person. He feels like a boy and it constrains him, but he hides everything behind cheerfulness. He arranges happiness for everyone, he is a winner who does not receive anything for himself. He is lying to everyone that he has everything - but he is absolutely lonely. A wife, son, daughter, friend and mistress come to him. But they are only in his imagination. This is, as it were, the alleged side of his life. Although at the end of the play a hint that they are still, but they are so ephemeral and distant to him spiritually and human that he has the right to think that they are not.
