The memoirs of the Russian anarchist Nestor Makhno were written in the early 30s, in Paris, based on diaries in the hands of the Cheka during the years of the Civil War. The first book talks about the period from March 1917 to April 1918, the second book - from April to end of July 1918. The third book, the Ukrainian Revolution, ends in December 1918 and gives a complete picture of the first, preparatory stage of the Makhnovshchina movement . Apparently, Makhno was going to continue his memoirs and bring them to the “Paris” period of emigration, but death in 1934 destroyed these ideas. For the first time, Nestor Makhno memoirs were published in Paris in 1936-1937
