Emma Grigoryevna Gershtein (1903 - 2002) - literature historian, memoirist.
Emma Gershtein was lucky to be next to those whose names are inscribed in the history of Russian culture. Near, and not from a distance, she watched outstanding writers and scientists of the twentieth century - Osip Mandelstam, Anna Akhmatova, Boris Pasternak, Leo Gumilev, Nikolai Khardzhiev. He called them merciless. Hershtein wrote aptly, passionately, expressively, not embarrassing either her love for them, nor rejection.
Literary articles and late memories of E.G. Gershtein, published in the magazine Banner in 1999 and 2002
