In this publication, the book of L.F. Dostoevskaya was first published in translation from the French language, in which it was written, which made it possible to clarify a lot of significant details that were to one degree or another by the secondary translation of translations from the intermediary language. The most important milestones of Dostoevsky’s biography are represented by the writer"s daughter for family legends, the stories of the mother, the materials of the home archive, the appearance of the father is recreated according to personal memories. The publication was pre -sent to a biographical essay on L.F. Dostoevskaya, written by the Doctor of Philology B. N. Tikhomirov. He also compiled notes in which in the light of modern scientific ideas about the life and work of Dostoevsky an analyzed the nature of the work of the writer’s daughter with biographical material and a detailed historical and real commentary on the text of her book is given. The translation was completed by N. D. Shakhovskaya. The book is illustrated by photographs, archival documents, types of places mentioned by L.F. Dostoevskaya
